Regional Water Authorities
Regional water authorities involve large-scale water infrastructure projects that deliver wholesale water to dozens of municipal water providers and facilitate compliance with subsidence district regulations requiring reduction of water well usage. ABHR attorneys were instrumental in the passage of legislation creating the West Harris County Regional Water Authority and the North Fort Bend Water Authority, which authorities will provide surface water to serve hundreds of square miles in the Houston region.
