Areas of Emphasis and Related Experience. Practice
focuses on public finance and municipal law matters, serving
as bond counsel, general counsel, underwriter's counsel and
disclosure counsel in tax-exempt bond financings for cities,
counties, school districts, special districts and authorities
throughout Texas. Mr. Austin has represented municipal utility
districts as well as other special purpose political subdivisions
providing for the finance and construction of water, sewer,
drainage, and other development infrastructure. In addition,
he has represented clients in the creation and operation of
municipal management districts, tax increment financing zones,
redevelopment authorities, public improvement districts, and
non-profit corporations as well as municipal contracting and
various public law matters.
